Hello, Natasha!

Thanks for inviting me to your network! ☺

As you probably know by now, my interests lie in blockchain technology as a researcher and as an advisor to start-ups towards their ICOs.

Said that, what can I do to help you?

Meanwhile, have a great day!

Renato

Hello, Renato, thank you for connecting with me. I can see you are an advisor. Forgive my naivety, but could you please explain to me how ICOs usually acquire those advisers? Sometimes I see 20-3- advisors on an ICO team list. Are those advisors paid positions or they are acting as mentors, or they are getting those cryptocurrencies coins after those projects go public?

Hello, Natasha.
I cannot guarantee for everyone else's but for my experience only.
Usually, advisors are invited out of their experiences, as stated in their profiles in LinkedIn, their blog posts, or articles in Medium, etc.
I was first invited because they liked a scientific paper I published about the complexity of the blockchain. Thereafter, I received further invitations because they saw that first experience as advisor in my profile.
Depending of the complexity of the project, they may feel the need of as few as 3 or as much as 20 advisors, with different backgrounds, including lawyers, marketeers, experts in finances, technology, management, etc.
These are usually paid positions but the form of payment varies, including project tokens, standard cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, fiat, or even company equities and shares.
Some advisors get ejected as soon as the ICO finishes while others become board members.
Unfortunately, some companies invite big names only to give respectability to the project while others go as far as putting fake photos and identities on their site.

Thank you, Renato, for such a full explanation. So it is possible for me to get an advisor in exchange for the future coins of my future currency. If you know anyone who would accept this type of position, please let me know.
Sincerely yours,
Natasha.

If you are looking for an advisor for some project of yours, I may be willing to accept that position, depending of the project itself and the terms of our agreement.

Thank you, Renato, very kind of you. I am not in a position to offer a paid role, but will be happy to offer you a portion of our cryptocurrency after we launch it. In case if you make a significant contribution to the project I will consider paid position or even equity share straight after we conclude seed investment round.
Regards,
Natasha.

Hello, Natasha.

To make things clear in advance, my experience of Advisory has been of active involvement in the development stage of the project, helping the writing of whitepaper. Therefore, you may like me to read some draft of it and give previous feedback without any further obligation.

BTW, I don't have a problem with signing an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) beforehand.

I have mainly helped start-ups assess whether it makes sense for them to use blockchain, whether it is making the best use of this technology, whether the whitepaper is technically correct, clear and attractive, drawing from it a lightpaper for a public less willing to study any whitepaper when asked to, etc. and I reserve the right not to associate with projects I do not believe in.

Therefore, I definitely refuse invitations to decorative positions just to lend my name and credentials to "increase credibility," or to act merely as 'influencer' in my network.

I also allow myself to refuse collaboration with projects that insist on using blockchain for the sake of it.

I don't have enough experience yet with blockchain technology to develop solutions, what I leave to the devs. But I can refer you to a great computer security expert if you want.

With regard to marketing, I'm definitely not a specialist in it, and you should think of hiring one. Nevertheless, I surely may help by sharing materials of the Company to my network.

I don't have a list of promising investors and don't have experience in attracting investors and sponsors.

Moreover, although I may dare to opine on it, I also leave the business plan to CEO's, CFO's, etc.

Said that, if you feel that my way of advisoring fits your needs, you may provide me with more details about your project.

Regards,

Renato

Renato, thank you very much for your explanation. I would like to know if your advisory would be potentially available in exchange for future currency option as I have no funds to pay you. Providing, of course, if you like our project. If this option hypothetically available to me, then I'll be happy to send you an NDA. Thank you again for your time and patience. Regards. Natasha.
